Having nicely scraped my nearside alloy and not being able to bare to leave it as it is, I need to find a recommended alloy wheel repair man who can make it look as good as new.

Chipsaway men can do alloy wheel repairs from their mobile workshops. You can get the name of your local franchisee from Yell.co.uk under car body repairers or by leaving a message on the Chipsaway website (www.chipsaway.co.uk). For some reason they won't put details of the franchisees on the website. The Chipsaway guys can also repair damaged bumpers and interior trim. A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

I used a chap from Wicked Wheels to refurb one of the 19s on my M3. He did an excellent job - especially on a wheel that is traditionally very difficult to refurb. I think though, like all of these companies, they have a local franchisee for each area of the UK. I do still have the guy's details though if you wanted to ask him if he would travel up to you? |

Perhaps not worth him travelling all that way. The local chispaway seems a good idea, at least they are a national name behind them too should anything go bad.

MDP, Chipsaway are here at my house right now doing my two dinged alloys and the one on the wife's car, seems to be doing a good job, when he has gone I shall take some pics and post for you and let you know if I'd recommend them.

The local chips away chap has just called me back & he says usually about £50 an alloy..... No problem with wifes TT but has only done one RRsport and has to mix own colour match because LR havnt come up with or released the formula for the alloy paint/mix as yet.
