Having just seen "pulling Power" it really makes you appreciate just how good "Top Gear" is!

This programe was total cr*p ( although it was improved by the footage of the RRS ) It had no true/factual content that was of any use to anyone! Surely this programe should have been aimed at those that are more akin to whatching CBEEBIES.

What I can say is that they took both cars to MIRA's testing ground which is less than 2 miles from where I live in Nuneaton. At no point did they mention that the RRS is far more able off road than the German pig? Also, what sort of journalist on TV thinks it's OK or even cool to talk/report at the same time as chewing a mouth full of gum ( called me old fashioned, but its just dam right rude)?

Moving on, it was nice to see that even these two fools could come to the decsision that the RRS was a worthy winner Very Happy

Mike Rutherford should realy stick to his Saturday job........

I agree completely, I stayed up especially to watch this, and then wished I hadn't bothered. That's not jounalism by any stretch. It was just two wide boys arsing about and saying all the same old stuff about the Pig and the Sport.

What made me smile right at the beginning was that he said it felt like a cross between a RR and a Discovery....clearly he had time to read other pieces of decent motoring jounalism and at least found out that the RRS is based on the Discovery chassis.

Other than that it was rubbish, and yes, I too thought that chewing gum looked crass. So in the end they chose the Sport, but did I care what they thought? No.

The moment I take their badly sewn together opinions into consideration when thinking about my car on order is the moment I shall have a sex change.i.e. Never. L319 D4 HSE
