No emails for thread updates anymore...

Hi folks,

I'm no longer getting any emails from the forum when threads I've posted to are updated. I've checked in my profile and the option to receive is still set to "yes" - stopped getting them a few days ago and have been meaning to post about it, so here we are. Is this function still working for everyone else, or is it just my email address? I'm continuing to receive email from other sources OK...

Just as an additional note - I also notice that the forum isn't sending me emails for PM alerts either. Martin, do you have access to the SMTP logs of the server that sends out forum emails? It'd be interesting to know what the problem is, if it's just me...

I think its got to do with the right instruction on the top right-hand corner of this thread. Its either "Watch this topic", which yoou want, or "Stop watching this topic". Malaysia Boleh!

I'm sure Martin will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that as soon as you post to a thread you automatically end up watching the topic. I've never had to click that to get emails sent to me, unless there's recently been a change to the forum which means you do have to press it.

Shmoogle, you're right, you get automatically notified unless you untick the option when posting (it's between the text box and the submit/preview buttons) or you've got the "Always notify me of replies" setting in your profile set to No Like this site? Just to keep this thread updated - I'm now receiving emails telling me that threads are changing... did you press any buttons Martin, or is it something we'll have to call in Most Haunted to investigate?
