Follow these steps to add a new event to the site calendar.

1. Click the calendar link on the menu bar:
   
   
   
   
2. Scroll to the bottom, and in the bottom right corner is the Add Event button:
   
   
   
   
3. The add event page is much like writing a new post/PM, but with the following extra fields:
   
   
   
   
4. The Description should contain brief information about the event, detailed info should be placed in a (linked to) topic in the Events forum
   
   
5. If you don't need the event link, simply delete the
