I love this forum; the dealer makes me feel so dumb when they roll their eyes and say "thats normal" to all the faults I discover and try to get them to fix!

I noticed how rubbish the 'climate' control was, especially compared to other cars I have had (audi, jeep, Nissan...). With these other cars, you set the temp say 22 and never touch it again, EVER! In my RRS I am constantly fiddling with my knobs Shocked

Does anyone have a copy of the tech bulletin, so I can take it to show to my dealer?

Thanks,

Daniel.

FYI, the AC unit is a very good unit - I personally helped with the early stage development of the D3/RRS AC unit while working for DENSO

I've never had a problem with it Kaine. Thumbs Up Every other bloody thing has stopped working, but not the trusty climate. Oh, and let's not forget the heated seats which keep bum and rear wheels nice n cosy on these frosty mornings. Gives you piles though!!! Shocked

There is a mod to make the temperature more accurate as you may find that you are forever turning up the temp on a longer run just to keep warm.
This is due to the temp sensor (behind the dash) picking up heat from the radio etc and so giving a false reading.
The mod is basicly a foam sock that goes over the sensor.
Ten minute job at the dealers.

A ten minute sock job at your local LR dealer? And they say there's no customer service anymore!! Laughing
