Assuming the RRS is the same as the D3 it's 12 months or 15,000 miles

Cost wise it seems to vary a lot, ring around a few dealers for quotes 

My boss has his D3 in at the moment for its second service in 10.5 months and rear pads are worn down past the sensors. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Haven't had to have the RRS anywhere near a dealer yet, but given the wife's Freelander cost about £320 for the 12k service, I'd expect the RRS to come in a bit over that. You should definitely shop around though. Not sure where you'd take yours VA, but if you were planning to get servicing out of Hunters in Guildford don't. They are the most expensive in the area (at least for Freelanders). We've used Webbers in Basingstoke, which are around about 30% cheaper.

Try Lancaster in Reading, cheapest I've found around here so far 

In the US it is 6mo / 7500 miles for the first, 12 mo / 15000 miles for the second, then every year or 15000 miles. The first 4, up to 36mo/45Kmi, are free of charge, except for items subject to wear and tear, such as brake pads. 

Servicing is free of charge for the first 4 services? Did you have to pay extra for that up front as some kind of maintenance pack? I dunno... first, it costs you guys nothing to fill your cars up and then you don't have to pay for servicing!! What is the world coming to?

Interesting that you should have a 6-month service though...

The first 4 scheduled visits are included in the purchase price (I think Mercedes started charging for maintanance packs this year), but I would not be surprised if Land Rover starts cutting back or eliminating this "perk" for US owners of MY07, just as most other upscale manufacturers have done in the past couple of years (with the notable exception of BMW, where even brake pads and wiper blades are free for 50000 miles.) Besides, with weer and tear parts being extra, you are really getting little more than 4 glorified oil changes. 

Check that, I looked it up and the free scheduled service visits included for 06 RRS owners in the US are 6, one every 7500 miles until 45000 (the ones at 7.5, 22.5 and 37.5 being just basic oil changes). Exclusions: gasoline (doh!), brake pads, windshield wiper blades and washer fluid, tires, alignment and balance, soft trim items (carpet, seats, moldings). 

We are SO ripped off in this country it makes me sick to my stomach.

We pay MORE to buy the car
We pay MORE for fuel
we pay MORE for servicing

Soon we'll have MORE toll roads, we pay congestion charges, are blighted by speed cameras, car tax is being hiked all the time.....  L319 D4 HSE
