Stratstone of Mayfair London

From my first conversation with Philippa Dowsett of Stratstone of Mayfair on the 12th December to delivery of my new MY07 RRS TDV6 HSE on the 22nd December 2006 and since I have experienced excellent customer service and immediate responses to any question or requirement I have had.
After the poor service I had received from Guy Salmon Maidstone who had my deposit for 6 months, we were extreemly cautious and didnt get too excited when Philippa said she could deliver the vehicle before Christmas (ten days from our first contact).
The vehicle was exactly the spec I wanted apart from my original choice included a wood grain interior trim she went out of her way to try to dealer fit this normally facotry fit item.
After delivery of the vehicle on the 22nd I noticed a very small ding in one of the alloys which quite honistly I thought would be down to me for not spotting it after signing off the delivery note, but no, after Christmas Philippa arranged a driver to collect the car from Kent and return it to Mayfair and replaced the wheel and re-valeted the car and returned it the same day.
I have experienced a poor Land Rover Dealer and highlighted it on this forum so feel it only fair to praise one such as Stratstone of Mayfair.
Thumbs Up John G

Good to hear a decent report of a Stratstones dealer. Indeed, in my experience Mayfair are my least favourite Stratstones dealer but maybe things are looking up for them. Very Happy

They had a G4 RRS for sale before Christmas at £44k - a little steep considering others were going for between £34k and £40k! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I can only speak as I find.
Admitedly I am a very new owner and may well need lots more of that customer service yet.
If it changes I will be the first to let you know but I feel confident it wont.
Its streaks ahead of my local Guy Salmon who originally took my order without doing anything as I had made my mind up long before I walked through the door.
Its a tough life selling RRS's.

They quoted £550 for my first oil service... I ended up paying £320 (which still wasn't the cheapest available). How they can justify the extra £200 I don't know Evil or Very Mad

Their service department is actually based in Kings Cross....maybe that's the 'extra special service' the provide their customers Wink

I was pointed to Stratstone by 'Findmyrangerover.com' and have no complaints.
In fact i am satisfied with both
pay your money and take your choice.
