Engine system fault warning

Hi guys, hope you all had a good xmas and new years. I got my baby late last week and its already coming up with a fault message in the message window. Evil or Very Mad its coming up with 'engine system fault' but the message only stays on for 3 seconds before the message box moves onto and stays on the next message box. in the manual it says it would stay on for a oupla of minutes. does anyone have any advice? i hope this isnt the first of many problems, as I already love the car, anc couldnt see life without her. Sounds like you may have spurious or "ghost" fault in the vehicles electronic memory. A quick trip to your dealers for an electrical clear down should sort the problem. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

You could always ring them to ask but as you don't have a fault that makes the car immobile or dangerous to drive they will probably suggest you take it into your nearest service dept.
