New Zealand 2006 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

The most ridiculous part of this saga is that the puddle lights come on when the rear door is opened so why not the roof light. If LR thinks they're making a point of difference between the Sport and the FFRR then God bless them - must have saved them a mint. Looking forward to hearing from anyone who works out a fix SDV6 (14.5) Corris Grey NZ Spec + door mouldings, mud flaps and tow bar
Also Audi A1 Sport + - (wife's rocket) and 1985 BMW 628 CSI

Excellent observation Bow down would see more logical to run the rear seat headliner lights to the puddle light switch of both rear doors.

The rear courtesy lights however, only have an "on" or "off" switch - so I guess you would have to then leave them on so that they would come on when the doors are opened but could not be used when the doors (or hatch) are closed. Seems therefore that the switch would also need to be replace with that middle setting you find on other cars. Clearly I'm no electrician, but curious to see if someone solves this one. 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge

In theory...

...putting the puddle lights in parallel with the courtesy lights would make both come on when either the overhead switch is turned on OR the door is open, this would sound a good compromise to me Idea Doesn't address the "looking at kids in the back" requirement though Question Question Cheers
