Replaceing Center/Mid Section, anyone done?

just a couple weeks before I got my RRS I spent a couple Dollars on
customized straight pipes (replacing the mid section) on my Maserati.
The sounddifference was just amazing, nothing compared to stock or
OEM exhausts such as Tuby, Larini.....

wonder if anyone has replaced the mid section by straight pipes and
wonder how it would sound. of course, it is illegal, at least where I live,
but the cops are not really familiar with exotics....and of course, I would
use it for track purposes only.

I rather prefer doing this instead of buying overpriced OEM exhaust
systems which in any case would never be near from the sound with
straight pipes......

..or is it technically impossible?

cheers
Iwan

Admin/Mod: did a quick search on that topic, could not find anything, if
there is a topic about this, pls feel free to delete my thread.

I removed the silencer under the left passenger door (the Sport has a total of 4 mufflers), it has 2 pipes going in and two going out. Makes a world of a difference and saved me around $1k or so in the process. You are correct in assuming that these exhaust "upgrades" do the same.
