Stormer Tyres OEM - Hankook ?

Hi, Anyone got a RRS with Stormers. I have just picked up my RRS but I have a feeling they are replicas because of the tyres. How do you tell the difference and would a dealer put on replicas ?

Cheers

I'm not sure without going out and looking at my own wheels (not stormers) but you should find a Land Rover Oval and Land Rover cast into them if they are genuine factory supplied............................. but I stand to be corrected on this! Like all OEM gear that LR supplied they should be stamped with the logo, that's what you pay the extra for! A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Tata TDv8 HSE - Stornoway/ebony and straight grain walnut with towpack, Tasmods and an HST grille. Coming soon LEDs in the headlights
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

Land Rover do not factory fit Hankook tyres.

Goodyear, Michelin, Pirrelli and Continental.

But never Hankook.

I would challenge your dealer over the type of rubber fitted to your baby. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Thanks for the replies. I did think it was strange to see a 2nd tier tyre on the wheels.

I would like to know for sure though by checking the alloy it's self as well. When I was cleaning them today, I just I saw too many blemishes in the paint.

Cheers

That sounds like LR wheels then Laughing

No seriously they should be stamped on the rear as the others have said.
Good luck

Havank, I didn't question the quality of Hankook tyres. I only stated that Land Rover do not fit these tyres as standard.

So my bubble remains intact. Ner Ner Wink Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Tried to get a view of the rear of the wheel and all I can see are numbers and a silver foil triangle with QC passed written on it. Has anyone seen such a sticker on the back of the alloys ?

Hi Peter,

The tyres appear to be a give away. There is a place in Sydney that sell replica wheels for RRS. They list on Aust ebay. If you search Range Rover wheels in ebay Aust you will find.

I assume geniune tyres would be conti's or goodyears coming from LAND ROVER
