South Africa 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Zambezi Silver
Beach Driving in South Africa :)

Hi there,

I live in South Africa and have a RRS 4.4 V8 HSE and am going down to the coast. I know its probably not the best place to ask about driving on the beach considering the beaches, laws and not to mention weather in UK Laughing , but I thought you people would know what you were talking about here...

The weather here, especially on the beaches, reaches 30 - 35 Celecius, therefore the sand would be hot, and in turn very loose..is there any tips one could give me on driving this beast on the sand? Do i simply put it into the sand mode on the Terrain Response feature? I would suppose i would also have to reduce tire pressure to prevent getting stuck in the sand...

Any tips would be appreciated. Wink

Thanks Smile

As mentioned reduce the tyre pressure and also go with another vehicle for rescue purposes! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I'd post this on the D3 site as there will be more people who actually do this SA's and Aussies. I know there is a bit of a speed issue, but I've never driven in that environment.
