Mercedes is no good for offroading?
I think that the G-Wagen would be a FAAAAR better offroader then any of the modern LR products...

Not so good about the G-Wagen is that you cannot buy one through MB in the UK, you have to buy from specialist suppliers at huge cost and with Left Hand Drive....... which means that here they are not that great! Where I windsurf there is a guy with an AMG G-Wagen which has a V12 engine and it is a pretty amazing machine, but the furthest offroad it ever gets is onto the slipway to launch his jetski! Which is a total waste of it's very sophisticated 4x4 system (yes it is much more sophisticated than a Defender's as it has 3 locking diffs to the Defs one!) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

You can get these RHD drive now, and Merc Benz Park Lane will supply at list with no premium, whatever colour you want, whatever spec.. although they still list at £100k, so not exactly a snip! Rare as hell, but would anyone put any money on the used values for these on the market?

I enquired about future residuals for these, and literally noone was able to provide anything, even specialist valuation teams.. they said, Kam propose up some figures yourself based on used market prices and we will consider it.

There were like three of them on the market all around Y-02 plates all going between £45-60k so i proposed up for 5 years residual of £50k and they seemed to think this would be ok.. but i wouldn't bet against these being £70k within the first year.
