You might have run over Robin Sunpower! Seriously - it could be a small stone stuck in between something or your handbrake not fully disengaging. The weather might be a cause in some way. Not much use I'm afraid. Confused 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

It is quite normal for such a large car's brakes to groan under slow manouvering, however if it is a high pitch squeal there could well be a piece of grit wedged in the caliper face, it will work itself out within a week's use. L319 D4 HSE

BUT HE IS THE BIG BAD RANGE, DOGGONE IT!

My car is at the dealer today for scheduled 7500 mi service. I also told them my rear brakes squeak when I come to a gentle stop. I'll let you know how they fix it, if they can "duplicate the problem" (of course they were not squeaking this morning as I was driving to the dealership.)

Here is what my dealer did to stop the squeak on my brakes, according to the service invoice: "Checked and found excessive brake dust on calipers. Removed excess brake dust". The squeak is gone.
