I also had lots of problems with the sat-nav in the van, has something to do with the sun-reflective windscreen, so needed an external antenna and all works fine

The night before last weeks meet i went to update my RA on the PC. I did have the software on it so downloaded that to get the lasted update. But first it did a new firmware update half way the screen went red and i thought it was dead!! so just left it the way it was and called RA them self. Tec support rang me back very quick (hour or so) He told me what to do and the end it was all normal! Think this may help with a few problems it has! RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Yes it's wired all i did was pop the trim off and push it back on but it may not be as easy as that in the RRS!

I have a Road Angel and it needs the Road Angel internal antenna which you fit to the the bottom right side of the screen where there's no heated screen element. No power required, plugs straight into the back of the unit and permanently sticks to the inside of screen, costs about £10, takes 5 mins to fit. Will not work, or not work as well, without it. Had same exactly problem with Mercedes SL and Freelander. When you change cars, take it with you. Good Luck! |

Apologies! Mine is indeed a New Road Angel, but I can fully appreciate your frustration as I can remember when I first encountered the problem and just couldn't figure out the reason. Good Luck! |
