I was having a bit of fun on a very wet and traffic free stretch of local motorway this afternoon when I discovered something that (being generally a nonspeeder) I had not seen before...................... I had the rear wiper running and below 70mph it stayed on intermittant wipe, above a bit more speed it came on to continuous wiping and then above a very high speed it went into faster speed..................... just as well Plod doesn't have video speed cameras to see that your rear wiper is on continuous wipe.......... unlike I think it is the new TT or one of the newer Porsches where the rear spoiler rises when you get to 85mph - and lowers again at 75, a speeding give away!

Tim - on the new TT you can set the rear spoiler to remain in an "up" position

I don't exactly drive slowly but I've never noticed the rear wiper to speed up unless I alter the setting on the stalk, which has been convered before a number of times.

Tim, did you mean the frequency of the wipe or the actual speed of the wipe? L319 D4 HSE
