United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Stornoway Grey

My reply from Landrover effectively said the following: (Long story short)

All alloys are made to same standard across all the vehicles, they don't believe the RRS wheels are any less up to the job or easily damaged. Damage to mine caused by off roading that they say the user manual (yet to check on this) states, the owner should proceed with caution or care when taking it offroad, car is designed primarly for on road use not off road etc etc.

Photos I supplied of my car's wheels show nicks and cuts in the tyre sidewalls and therefore are signs of off road work that they are not designed for, apparently.

They also said that when I was given my last set of exchange wheels I was offered a different type of wheel and tyre. This is factually incorrect. I was offered another 20" wheel as found in the accessories brochure (5 spoke 2 piece wheel) on the same tyres. I didn't choose them as I knew there would be no difference between those and my std SC wheels in terms of how they would stand up.Plus I hated them.

I intend to write back, correcting them where they have put false information and also asking them how they'd like to react to the many other RRS owners who have also found their wheels to be damaged, including MDP's (who I included a letter and pics from). I shall also take the time to write to other publications where I feel it is appropriate.

I feel they are going to stone wall me from now on so I urge anyone reading this who also feels that their alloys, no matter what size and type, have been damaged too easily beyond your control, to write in personally to Brett Phillips at Landrover Customer Relations. Feel free to cite my letters, and anything contained on these pages and the forum.

I shall add the full postal address later when I am at home and have the letter to hand. L319 D4 HSE

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Sumatra Black

The other week I noticed that the lacquer on my Stormer's was pitting with brake dust. Only done 2500 miles. Wheels are cleaned at least weekly. Anyway, mentioned this to the local garage and they had a guy in the previous day complaining of the same. They are seeking advice on whether this is a common problem, and hence whether it is a warranty issue.
