Is it possible to drive to your address & have your exhaust system fitted to my 2006 RRS S/C while I wait?

If so, how long will it take?

Regards.

Yes they will do that while you wait. That's what I did. I think it took just over an hour to do.

JE - I think you should be commended for coming right out and stating the facts concerning warranty issues. It is clearly a case of "buyer beware" if you go for an ECU upgrade with regard to warranty. I've had two successful upgrades and one failure - but would (will?) do it again if I can get the wife to agree.

It should also be noted that no matter what an LR dealer may tell you about warranty coverage and engine mods...if it is not in writing by LR itself...it's just male bovine fecal matter.

I am extremely pleased with the TDV6 exhaust you supplied and would gladly trust you for an ECU upgrade...if only Coventry was not so far. Crying or Very sad

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I've just picked my motor from the stealers, it went in for a software upgrade which I originally had installed in July !! Shocked Another quality service from Land Rover dealerships.

Anyway whilst there one of the new guys on the service desk tried selling me the TDV6 ECU upgrade, they are charging approx £800.

Talk about rip off Britain Mad

Thanks, Tim in Scotland & MDP, glad to know it sounds good.......the main reason for buying it!

Had a Rimmer Bros exhaust on my P38 4.6 sounded great.

When I first showed interest in buying a RRS S/C the salesman @ Sturgess said "you wont be disapointed in the sound of the car" Needless to say I cracked up my P38 outside the dealership to show him I was!

By the way, having auto close of all windows upon activation of alarm from key fob done on Thursday, So should be a happy chicken by Friday Afternoon.

Rolling Eyes Had hoped for a rather more erudite discussion.

We do not have any exhaust tips at present, only complete systems.

We could consider some allowance against future work for people who have already bought any of these products, we can service cars, and it doesn't invalidate your warranty. Cool

Anyone for LPG ??

For those like me who had long fogotten the exact meaning should read on.....

"Erudition
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Erudite)

The word erudition came into Middle English from Latin. A scholar is erudite (Latin eruditus) when instruction and reading followed by digestion and contemplation have effaced all rudeness ("e- (ex-) + rudis"), that is to say smoothed away all raw, untrained incivility. Erudition is the depth, polish and breadth that is applied to education from further readings and understanding of literary works. The Latin word educare means to "lead out" from ignorance; hence the educated person has been led to think critically and with deductive logic. The erudite person has additionally become familiar with some more arcane information, has a deeper familiarity with the literature on the subject and a broader intellectual horizon.

Common usage has blurred the distinction from "learned".

An erudite person will gain insight on particular subjects directly through books and study, rather than by following a course or scholarship in the subject. The famous Italian poet Giacomo Leopardi was erudite: he read and studied the classics on his own, and was deeply influenced by many philosophers. Among the most erudite of Roman writers was Marcus Terentius Varro. Among the most erudite English essay-writers is Sir Thomas Browne.

A jurist is one who is learned, and knows the law intimately and thoroughly; by comparison, an erudite jurist also knows the history of the law in detail, as well as the laws of other cultures.

Erudition is evident in a literary work when an erudite writer possesses a general knowledge spanning many different fields. When such universal scholars are also at the forefront of several fields, they are sometimes called "polymaths"; when they are not, or are only at the forefront of individual fields (sometimes in a figurehead or leadership capacity), they are sometimes called "polyhistors." - Ends
