Laughing Laughing Laughing

I'm not laughing - seriously ............................... Wink

I thought it would be different to that way of operation ?

Ie. when tailgate open, press touch sensative button/pad and the tailgate automatically [ smoothly ] starts to close.

How wrong I was Sad

Thanks so much Kaine, that's what I thought it would be like. Who needs a one-touch open/close tailgate, anyway? You would only be a step away from a soccer mom minivan. I don't mind the exercise and, to quote our Governor of the State of Kalafornia, that's for "girlie men". Wink But I really like the fact you no longer have to slam that sucker shut. Sometimes I fear the window is going to break when I close mine. I do hope the power assist can be retrofitted on 06s.

Is this 'soft close mechanism' standard on all MY07 RRS? Funny old thing, my LR dealer can't tell me the spec (including new wood trim colour) of the approx £45000 I want to order - does any other premium car dealer behave this way!?
