United States 2007 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Zermatt Silver
Brembo Brake Experience

I have ordered an 07 with the dynamic pkg including the Brembo front brakes. I have a couple of questions about these brakes and brakes in general 1. Do the brakes dust very much? 2. Do the brakes wear very fast? 3. Is the pad material ceramic based?

I had a MB ML500 that went through brakes like water and they dusted so bad that it was imbarrasing. I don't want to go through that again.

1. Yes, they do "dust" quite a bit
2. Mine needed a set of new pads all around at the 15k service (so you might say they do wear, although this is obviously based on driving style).
3. No, they're not ceramic.

They are not ceramic... The only minus to my mind is that they are burmig quite soon after you do some some fast driving... I do drive very fast actually and I see the smoke coming from the front wheels very often.. 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

I had the Brembo brakes fitted after I bought the car by JE.
I'm very happy with them and the stopping power is massively improved ov er the standard non-Brembo brakes.
I've been quite impressed with how little they dust up in fact.

not very impressed, seem to suffer from serious fade when used hard leaving virtually no brakes at all. The standard brakes get hot but even when the discs glow you can still stop.

Its perfectly normally that you have dust and smoke... can you imagine the forces required to stop 2.5 tonnes at 70 Mph? on a 10p?
