Keyless locking

Has anyone else experienced issues with keyless locking (ie when you touch the dimple in the door handle twice to lock and alarm the car)? It’s been working fine since I got the car in December but has recently developed a mind of its own. It will sometimes lock on one touch, sometimes (but less often) alarm on two touches but more often than not doesn’t do anything at all. Keyless unlocking still works perfectly.

It’s not a major annoyance as I don’t really mind clicking the fob plus I’ll get the dealer to look at when it’s in (again!) next week, but just wondering if it’s a known issue.

On my last Evoque, I had similar problems which I believed was probably down to time of year and moisture content on my fingers and a quick lick of my finger seemed to resolve.

That may be total Censored but it seemed to work for me. MY17 RRS 4.4d V8 Autobiography - Aintree Green (also referred to on Topix as British Racing Green)

Where is your key fob when this happens ? I've found issues if kept close to a mobile but when on its own (e.g. in jacket pockets, etc) its fine.

It varies, and I wondered about that as a possible cause, but when it hasn’t worked I’ve tried holding it in my hand next to the handle and it usually still doesn’t work.

I know it’s a minor issue in the great scheme of things - just one more niggle to add to the unfortunately lengthening list...

I have found that once in a while I need to use the buttons on the fob to unlock the car,
this seems to remind the car it that it works both ways,
then I continue to use the keyless entry for a while and again when i think about it I use the fob
buttons again.. ===========================================

I've had two replacement handles because of an issue like this, it's started to do it again Crying or Very sad I'll get them to look at it when it's in for a service in a couple of weeks time.
