Phone feedback and echo

I have just taken delivery of new RRS.When I use the phone on the PTI ,the person I am calling complains of hearing them self in their phone when they speak. The problem goes away if I have the phone volume at or below '19'.Does anyone else have this problem?

this happens a lot with in car bluetooth systems.. i noticed when i called Very Annoyed on his RRS phone, it echoed a bit, but it does this in my dads A8, and in my RS4 as well, so you just have to adjust the volume slightly lower.

Anyone else got a fix for this, would love to know myself!

LOWER VOLUME IS THE ANSWER! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Yes, this is exactly what happens... I can get away with it on 20 (at least no-one's complained of an echo) but usually 19 is the right mark. As Kam points out, it's not anything to do with the LR PTI system - simply the fact you have a speaker and a receiver in close proximity to each other. All similar in-car systems suffer the same problem.
