MY18 Brake Judder!

Have my car booked in on Monday as the car has developed a very bad brake judder when braking hard - it's so bad that it feels as though the steering will fall off!

JLR just can't seem to get their brakes sorted - first car had incurable squeals and now on the new one this issue Rolling Eyes

My only worry is they will say it's a consumable so stump for new pads and disks....fingers crossed they cover the cost for this crap. Embarassed

Bit more feedback required. Are you driving like a sports car because it's called a sport or doing a Miss Daisy ?

Mileage?

Service history? Joe

I had both judder and squeal when I had the SC which were fixed under warranty by the dealer. I still find myself looking at RRSs on the road in spite of saying never again. They still look great but then I have to remind myself why I sold mine after 11 months and 5000 miles.

Sparingly used 5 cars in our high mileage house - done 10k miles and 9 months old...not driven like a sports car as other cars used for that purpose.

Car is in with them now - lets see what they say Thumbs Up

Must admit mine is 9 months old now and there are numerous rattles from the car - not a good sign Sad

I had the judder with the Brembos. Dealer changed pads several times and the judder kept returning. I solved the issue by changing to a better brand of pad. No issues better feel and no dust. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
