I have lots of different types of media saved to my USB stick. In my old 2012 RRS when I played a song it would display the artist and title on the steering dash display as well as the console display. On my L494 model it doesn't do this, it only shows the artist and title on the console display. I know it's not a major thing but I do like everything just so. Is there a way of displaying this info on the steering dash display or does it just not do that?

Yes, it just does not do what you would think would be sensible. It is not configurable either. It is set to some Landrover |

's thought-bubble. I , for one, would rather see something useful, like being able to display a trip meter /odometer at the top at the same time as distance to empty at the bottom, instead I see the radio channel info which I already know because I chose it and its on the main screen. For just a little more investment in programming it could have been so much better.

My previous RRS's (including current) have only ever showed the song details when my phone is physically connected via InControl Apps. When relying on Bluetooth, I don't believe it transmits this data to the console. |

I had the same issue with the stored songs on the hard drive, they showed the album details on the centre consol but not on the dash display, in fact whatever was stored on position 10 was displayed on the dash irrespective of what was actually playing! Dealer could not fix it, but when it came back from its last service and presumably a software update the issue had gone and it works as it should! The other gremlin I have which they still can’t fix is whenever I stop for a few minutes and don’t lock the doors, say at a petrol station, when I restart the engine the heated steering wheel comes on! Handy in the winter but not so much in the summer .... Would be a useful feature in the setup menu. 2014 RRS AB Santorini Black |
