Plastic Engine Cover Removal

Hi there,

I need to remove the black plastic top engine cover from my 2013 L320 SDV6 RRS. Are there any hidden clips or screws to remove to release the cover?

I gave it a tug and it does not seem to want to shift? Don’t want to tug too hard and risk breaking any clips!

Any advice would be most welcome Thumbs Up

Thanks

It’s just a case of pulling it up harder. It can be stiff but if you are pulling straight up it’s very unlikely that you could damage

I am assuming you have first removed the oil filler cap?

Thanks for the replies Thumbs Up

Yes, I did remove the oil cap, but was worried to tug too hard if there were any hidden fixings.

Now given it a good tug and off it came Very Happy

Thanks Guys Thumbs Up

A little silicone grease on each of the 4 hold down points makes it easier next time.
