Just spent a few hours outside washing and then waxing/polishing the car with Autoglym resin stuff

This is the 1st time iv'e washed this car since coming back from BMW

As soon as i started i remembered that it was a LOT of car to wash and required a step up or ladder

And then there is the lettering on Bonnet and Boot , it seems to take chunks out of my sponge and then when buffing up the wax it's nearly impossible to get in and around the Letters
Did bring back memories of washing the old shaped one

Only half serious, but has anyone contemplated De- Lettering cause they are jarred off with cleaning around them ?

I de-lettered the boot of my old D4 and it looked so much better for it

From the days when I used to polish cars, I found a tooth brush around badges and letters was usually great for getting all of the dead polish out from around letters and badges

Sponges scratch, use a noodle mitt. It won’t snag either  Visitor from fullfatrr.com

I use hog hair brushes from Autofinesse for grills and badges

Same as Red Arrow,,use a detailing brush & I use Bilt Hamber Surfex HD All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser diluted with 75% water as it gets in all the corners of the letters where the sponge/wash mit doesn't clean.But like you say they are a nightmare to clean around,,i keep contemplating getting my sign man to do me some nylon stickers in matt black as it would be easier to clean then. Andy.

Those noodle mitts look alright although do you get the water and shampoo running down your arms i wonder

As for the lettering etc, good suggestions re the small brushes

Just noticed that i missed one wheel spoke - must of been upside down till i moved the car back into it's usual spot
