2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Sumatra Black

306DT engine timing belt

a few questions on 306DT engine

1. for 2012 model, is Adblue in use?
..... if yes, where is the top up fill point?

2. 306DT is the SDV6 engine

My 2012 SDV6 doesn't use adblue. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Neither does my 2012 SDV6. These are EURO 5 spec so DPF and EGR but not SCR/Adblue.

i was thinking the same as that....

I thought i was going crazy....
but when i noticed the last service report from main dealer has Ad Blue top up listed and .... 12 units of it (1 litres bottles i assume).

makes me wonder did they actually do the service at all 2007 TDV6 RRS HSE..now gone

Main dealer? There's a surprise. If they've charged for it, go back and ask where they put it. And then ask for a refund plus extra for wasting your time.

Then go find a decent Indy to service it from now on. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

yes, main dealer.
it was the service they documented prior to sale.
when i picked it up they printed out the detailed service paperwork at my request so i had it to go beside the service stamp.
reason i was being so particular about it is because they did the timing belt service.
mileage is only 85000 km but it is just turned 7 years old.
i'm actually going to open up the timing cover this weekend... because now i can only believe it if i see it with my own eyes to actually be new belts.

so much for having faith in main dealer service 2007 TDV6 RRS HSE..now gone

to my surprise, the belts look new.

i was really doubting they were done. there was not enough witness marks from handling the around the front of the engine that i would expect after a job like this was done

anyway, they must have a midget mechanic that fits in where the Fan comes out

or they took the body off and had an easy go on it

they didnt list the belt tensioner on the parts list from the service....

but i didnt want to go all in removing coolant hoses etc today.
probably would have not taken me any more time in the end if i had
