Land Rover Excess Protection Insurance

Has anyone got any views (good or bad) on Land Rover Excess Protection Insurance?

It came for free with my new Sport (giving £250 XS cover) but its now up for renewal at £29 for £250 cover or £36 for £500 cover.

Whilst the XS protection itself may or may not be worthwhile it does provide a Courtesy Car and ensure Land Rover parts are used in any repair...

Any thoughts appreciated

Hi Rickshaw

I think it's worth-while - bearing in mind on the £500xs cover, one claim in 13 years and it's paid for itself.

I would recommend shopping around though - it doesn't have to be Landrover and you can also get policies that will cover your home insurance excesses as well as the cars
