New proposed Ultra Low Emissions Zone for London

Apologies if this has already been covered but I couldn't find anything when searched.

There is a consultation going on about introducing a new ULEZ in the current London Congestion Charging Zone from 7th September 2020. This will be in addition to the currently active LEZ. Unlike CC which is only applicable during working hours on weekdays, the ULEZ will apply 24/7/365. Petrol cars will be non-compliant if over 14 years old and don't meet Euro 4 emissions standards. Diesels will be non-compliant if over 5 years old and don't meet Euro 6. Non-compliant cars to pay a £12.50 daily charge and HGVs/buses/coaches £100.

Those interested can read more details and have their say on https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/environme...ssion-zone by 9th January 2015. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone
Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory
Gone: MY09 RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black/Almond

England 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

100pounds for hgv per day??
I guess I would have to upgrade to newer trucks or take only jobs outside the zone.

btw. I think black cabs are most smoking vehicles in Central London.

what are peoples thoughts on this - i have a 9yr RRS an d i drive into London Zone 2/3 but outside the CC zone but if the expansion comes into force in 2021 this will kill the second hand diesel market. I suspect that what London trials will eventually roll out across the country as a 'stealth tax'

it will cost £12.50 each day i get in my car and drive inside the North Circular !!!!

are converters possible ? does anyone know if these are worth it

There’s no workaround for our older RRS’s. Time to sell up and buy a Renault Twizzy!

I only drive mine a couple of days a week, so will only cost me £1200 a year... L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

I have to laugh at this.

I have a 13 year old 4.2L SC and put my reg in the ULEZ website and it says I don't have to pay it!! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?
