Me too, I got Normal height only this morning. Drove to work switched off then on and warning disappeared. Battery is 2 years old. If it pops up again I may look into it.

Mine 'went' a couple of months ago and I was told it's 60mph where the car lowers and that makes a bit of sense in that every time I got to 60, the message came up reminding me to stay at 30!!

In my case, the reason was nothing more than a frayed wire - couple of bob at the Indie - sorted.

Depends what compressor you have. The Hitachi or Dunlop one is around £300. The AMK can be from £400 to £600 depending on where you get it. It's only an hour tops to fit new one. My fault is actually a leaking air resavoir which is being replaced tomorrow. Hopefully it's all sorted then. New alternator.
Gearbox flush.

Well my Normal Height only stayed on, so it went into my indie yesterday and they have confirmed it needs a new compressor. They’re fitting a Hitachi one on Monday and fitting EGR blanks. The car only has 60k on it but is 12 years old.

Well after fitting the AMK compressor it's
Still the same. Turns out it was the air receiver tank that had a hole on it. All sorted. And the my original old compressor refitted. New alternator.
Gearbox flush.

Had this on mine for a few days, then when I went to start it one morning. I started to get gear box fault errors, this error, that error, not in park error etc.

Checked the battery and it was low, so I've removed it and fully charged and connected back up. No issues yet fingers crossed.

Mine's gone all of sudden overnight.

Car has been fine (compressor's been a little louder than I would have expected for the last few weeks but nothing crazy)
This morning I set off to work and at the end of the street

"normal mode only" message appeared on the screen

By the time I got to work (an increasingly bouncy drive) the front end (both sides) was sat very low, the rear was fine though.

Would be strange for 2 airbags to fail at the same time I would have thought, and given the back still sits fine, I'm wondering if it's a block or a drier issue somehow.

my mechanic is going to have a look tomorrow though he's not a Range specialist so a fix might not be immediate

C1A20 and C1A13 fault codes on mine today, Internet research not much help on this problem as there are so many possible causes to every symptom.

Need to now find a local LR specialist who can solve the actual problem not just throw parts at it.

If it helps, I had the same fault codes on mine and the fix was a new Dunlop compressor from MM 4x4.

I did try one of the rebuild kits and while this worked for a few days the came back, but at least it meant i was out of access mode - not a nice drive home that night when it failed Laughing Laughing Laughing

Following the fault for the second time I tried to replace the exhaust and air delivery valves but in the process managed to shear off the M16 air delivery valve bolt which lead me to buying the new compressor as I needed the RRS back on the road ASAP.

I'm guessing it might be possible to drill out/extract the sheared bolt from the compressor housing and then fully rebuild it ready for when this fails.....

I chose not to upgrade to the AMK one as the cost was about twice as much as the replacement compressor and also the time involved in the necessary modifications, plus the £90.00 ECU re-program didn't make much sense, especially when you consider that the original Hitachi compressor appears to have not been touched since it was fitted.

Anyhoo enough ramblings from me and I hope it helps somehow Very Happy 2006 RRS HSE 2.7 TDV6 (The Baby one as I keep being told)

Yep, local Landie specialist says new compressor time for me as well... in addition as the bracket holding the current AMK compressor is snapped I might as well upgrade to the newer type unit.... more $$ but a better quality product and longer term fix apparently.

Have a read on the Disco4 sister forum about compressors amd quality. There's a host of threads about rebuilds and air dryer service replacement etc.
The AMK is not an upgrade, just an alternative unit.
If a Hitachi was fitted originally and lasted many miles, then it stands to do the same again. They are a well made unit.
AMK have issues and are not a magical long lasting fix. Some D4 owners have fitted them and ended up paying twice because of quality problems. 2011 MY D4 HSE
Previously 2001 D2 TD5, 1996 D1 300Tdi, 1985 90 2.2 petrol.

So 2 weeks into the new compressor and issues again - same suspension failure orange triangle, joined tonight by a red triangle suspension failure max 30mph drive.

The garage who installed it have read codes and think it likely a faulty compressor, they're going to change it under warranty - hopefully that'll solve it!
