Hazard lights, alarm and central locking faults.

Have a 2007 RRS. Today whilst driving the central locking sysytem kept trying to lock/unlock the car. This continued once parked and the car kept clicking with the hazards lights. After about 20 minutes the alarm started up too. At which point the Sat Nav and heating lights kept turning on and off and eventually a park brake fault. The AA chap tracked down moisture in the fuse box under the bonnet. Has anyone had this before / know the cause / or the Fix please. The car is now locked manually and disconnected from the battery. I would be tempted to start by simply drying the fuse box out using a hairdryer or similar. Then inspecting the casing for cracks or splits.

If you don’t find any then give a good squirt of electrical moisture removal spray and see if that helps?

Thanks Jim, I was thinking about trying a hairdryer. Concerned water, albeit minimal has got in there. And the battery area too.

On a driveway, it’s been quite wet recently. The car is parked on a slope, wonder if the seal under the bonnet has failed and leaked into the engine bay? Had it 10 years parked in the same place and never had an issue. Can’t get it under cover I am afraid.

Common is the transfer case control module behind the battery. Take the connectors off and check for green/blue corrosion.
Could also be anything on the canbus, so rear wiring connector that’s behind the rear passenger side wheel arch. Bodsys Brake Bible
