EGR blanking kits advice sought

Hi all,

I’m on the verge of pushing the button on a EGR Blanking kit for my 06 2.7. Looking around the bizzars there seems to be a variation of what’s in the kit. If somebody could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Option 1: kit includes 2 x blanks with O rings, plus 2 x blanks & tywraps. Approximately £15

Option 2: as above but includes 2 x gaskets to be fitted to the other blanks (without the O rings). Approximately £16

Option 3: kit has 2 x blanks to be inserted underneath the pipe work at the lower end. Approximately £5

Steve. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Now the MOT rules have changed and MOT testers and looking out for blanking,
go for option 3

I’ve always used the blanking plates at the bottom of the pipe for the potential MoT Changes that have now come into force. Bodsys Brake Bible
