Have you tried using your AC clamp meter?

My £10 one does the job, so yours might work

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

Probably dependent on what kind of range you are looking for,, do you want to measure very low current or high current. The more expensive meters will be more accurate, especially at low ranges 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch
heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!

or if looking for a current drain, you might just be looking for a change rather than accurate value

I have the UNIT - T. UT203. Also from Amazon. About £20 if memory serves. It’s ok but like all DC clamp meters it is not very accurate. I have found about 10% depending on ripple. It’s typical of all ‘Hall effect’ devices.
