United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I've got a cheap gulmann boost pack, because I was skeptical so didn't want to splash out on a noco. £60 on Amazon and it's remarkable.

It claims to jump up to 7 litres, has no issue with my 3.6 tdv8 or the missus 4.6 v8 mustang. To test what it would do on one charge, I didn't plug it in after using it, it started: mother in laws polo gti, missus mustang, missus audi 2.7bi turbo petrol when it was so flat the interior light wouldn't come on, my 2.25 petrol landy about 7 times when it wouldn't idle properly, and my range rover classic. It still had juice left, but I didn't want to risk damaging it.

do you think it would start 2.7 tdv6 ?
and any chance you could post a pic as £60 you could have a bargain.

Yeah I'm sure it would start a 2.7 given it has started my TDv8. Its one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Guluman-16800mAh-...01KZFUW98/

My only complaint is that the case isnt as tough as it looks, it threw a lump hammer into my toolbag on top of it and took a chunk out of the plastic.

and im not a trades man. so this could make a cheap emergency alternative.

I might just try one of these as they are less than half the price of the noco & they get some good reviews on Amazon.

if that is the case I would say the grenn one is better as it starts twice the engine size.

I have one of these and its always got me out of trouble,
3-4 starts on a 2.5 diesel, and numerous charges of other
devices, only thing I haven't really used is the torch function..

Can someone explain the science? I don't disbelieve just want to understand how.

I have some big thick jump cables that are needed to take enough power from a spare lead acid battery when jumping. The cables on these little devices are really thin gauge, so how do they carry enough load to start/crank? Do they put a lot of juice into the flat battery very quickly before the key is turned?

After reading this, I decided that I should get one, as after changing both batteries I still sometimes get the "low battery, start engine" message. Car isn't used much & ctek is used sometimes if I know its not to be used for a while. Other times it just sits. Now paranoid about the message so decided to buy booster pack. Read all the posts then went to Amazon where there are loads. Was going to get one of recommended ones but decided on this "ABOX Jump Starter Pack 1500 Amp Peak," £69.99 & it can start 6.5Litre Diesel which is more than enough. Will stop me worrying about the car sitting at the Airport for a couple of weeks. I would rather you didn't get these messages. Ignorance is bliss Whistle , besides the message only appears when you open the door & 99.99% of the time your going to start the engine anyway so its superfluous Big Cry

I don't know whether these are available in the UK. They don't have a rechargeable battery but are recharged by the original battery down to 3 volts. I can recommend them highly.

Ordered the "ABOX Jump Starter Pack 1500 Amp" from Amazon yesterday afternoon with delivery due Sunday but it arrived this morning about 10am, brilliant. Looks a tidy piece of kit with a decent hard shell case. Now on charge & I feel a lot happier about "low battery, start car" See pic in my gallery
