MY18+ Facelift svr and exhaust mods

Anyone looked into or Modded their svr exhaust with quicksilver offering or other.

After more and louder snap crackle & pop from idle and lower revs

Would welcome your experience or thoughts on this.

Finally for those who have modded their svr exhaust on facelift cars what’s it sound like, your experience to date and what’s the pro’s and cons of doing ?

Or is the alternative to stay with factory exhaust and have a remote switch fitted. To open and close exhaust valves ? (Which I had on my Maserati)

Thanks

I contacted quiksilver and they offered to give me the exhaust for £990 which is half price to use my MY18 SVR as the development car but they needed the car for a week so i didn't bother. I want to know what mod Sally has done but she hasn't been back to share for ages! 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!

You're a brave man! An after market exhaust will most likely void your manufacturers warranty and on a JLR product I think a warranty is one of the most important features of ownership Mr. Green

Let us know how you get on....my MY17 SVR certainly sounded much better than my MY 19 car...not sure why JLR did this Censored

All this fuss.

The 2018 svr has stricter parameters for the valves opening up. Whereas the older cars the valves were simply open or closed .
Achieving the same sound with the newer cars is simple a case of disconnecting the valves. I.e keeping them open all the time.

No deleting backboxes / mufflers / new exhausts needed. 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR

Within the first week of ownership.

When I say I did it.....not one to get my hands dirty I had a qualified professional do it. It’s a 5 min job.

I m surprised there seems to be so much confusion over it....in the press release for the new car jlr mentioned they’d changed the parameters for full valve opening....so standard you really have to boot it to get the valves to open. Whereas in previous cars it was much more on / off. 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR

Do you have to open the valves on by turning the ignition on first before you disconnect them or are they open when the car is turned off? 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!
