Facelift lights with resistor fitted fast flashing indicator

Hi everyone,

My sport has the 2010 light upgrade howevered weirdly the left side indicator still flashes quick even though there are resistors fitted. I should point out the indicators themselves flash at normal speed it is only the green arrow in the clocks that flashes fast (left only) I took the rear lights out and found each side had a 6.8 ohm 50 watt resistor fitted, I ordered some off powefuluk as they recommend using 15 ohm 25 watt, I fitted these instead and not only did it not fix the fast flash on the left it also made the right flash fast too. Now it gets a little interesting, I refitted the 6.8 ohm resistors and re fitted the lights to the car and to my amazement both indicators worked perfect! For about 3 hours, then the left went back to flashing fast but the right side is still good.
Any suggestions? Bad earth? Poor contact? I’m thinking of trying a lower ohm resistor but obviously don’t want to go too low and risk causing damage.

Any help appreciated,
Cheers!
