Car Key Fob Signal Blocking Pouch/Bag/Case

After watching London tonight last week it made me think about how easy it is to get the signal for my key so I brought
Mengshen Car Key Fob Signal Blocking Pouch/Bag/Case, Car Anti-theft Guard Protector
And am I right to say that if I put my key in this should the signal be blocked and can’t use it when I am next to it?

Yes.... it stops the car key communicating with the car when it’s looking for a response... so you place the key in the bag at night or if you are going to be away from the car. You will need to remove it from the bag to be able to open the car and start it.

That is what I was thinking so if I was to put the key in it and walk up to the car with the bag it should not be able to open the car?
Because I have done this and it open the key so was thinking the bag does not work.......

I have my keys in a metal tin but after watching that programme I took the tin out to the car and if the tin was at window level the car unlocked so I've been looking at buying one of these bags but if that's the same then what's the answer ? 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

The bags have two pockets which are not obvious...open the bag fully and place the keys in the rear most pocket between the faraday lining...
I suspect you are placing the key in the front pocket which is not protected...you put your key in this one when in your pocket when you are driving..at night you put it in the rear pocket to stop baddies code grabbing... Surprised

I did exactly this when I got mine, obviously didn't work. Put the key in the actual pocket and it works fine.
I bought two, the spare key lives in the other one in my safe.

I only know this from finding out the hard way myself...it’s really not obvious but you need to slide the key between the sheets! Cool
