R,R,S. FUEL BURNING HEATER

Hi hope some one can help I recently bought a RRS. 2006 and due to being disabled I want to fit a remote control to my webasto heater so I don't need to sit in a cold car while it warms up can any one help
I need to which wire or wires to conect and where to find then many thanks. jr

well you need to buy a kit. I think BAS sell them.

Also can find them on ebay.

The basic kit will use the LR button on key (configured to headlight mode) to turn it on.
Advanced kits are activated by mobile phone txt

Would you know if there is wiring in the car for a remote reciever even if the receiver is not fitted

You can’t just connect a wire to start the heater.

You can get a £40 item off eBay to do it

John,
I supply the Altox heater kits for the FBH, this allows you to use your phone to activate the fuel burning heater so it heats the water up around the engine/heater matrix.

Your year car may or may not have the trigger wire on the FBH. It’s. W-bus signal, so it’s not as straight forward as putting 12v through it.

Hi Andy,

What do I needed to search for on eBay. There are used telestart units from the L322 and a few expensive after-market kits. The CAN-bus requirement makes it a pain, otherwise a wi-fi switch would suffice?
