2017 Autobiograpy has developed a fan rattle, which can be stopped by stopping the HUD. It's almost exactly as described in the Evoque forum here https://www.evoqueownersclub.co.uk/forum/2...d-fan.html

It sounds like a leaf in the fan, maybe, and is worse when it's cold.

I thought I'd seen some reference to a similar problem in this Forum, but now cant find it....? Also cant find anything on TOPIX that might help

How hard is it to remove / check / tighten the HUD? Is it a dashboard out job? My anxiety is that if I let the garage fiddle with this, I'll end up with even more rattles

Is there an air inlet for the fan, where I could check for a leaf or other stray object?

Any ideas?

My HUD has a fan noise discovered when car was new. I advised dealer who said dash out to fix, and said I may have more issues than the fan afterwards. I don't like the HUD so did not pursue. My noise is very light and not noticeable with music playing but still annoys me, M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
