Teraclean Vs Carbon clean

I been seeing quite alot of this recently on my facebook.

Do any of you have any experience with any of these 2?

Ive got a RRS tdv6 2010 with 73k miles on the clock. Was thinking of getting one done but not sure which would be better.

Neither. Both are a waste of money...

You have other choices as well,
You can have the EGR's , Turbo & Particulate filters cleaned,
as well as the fuel system,

Yes they do charge accordingly but I would personally recommend the
Terraclean..

I am interested in what both claim to do and why (per DM above) some in the know say it is a waste of cash. Any simple non technical comment would be gratefully received.

Terraclean runs refined fuel (Optimax etc) through the system with cleaning agents. Exactly the same as a £4 bottle of Redex/Forte etc

Carbon Clean injects hydrogen molecules into the intake system. If anyone has ever had the pleasure of decoking a modern diesel inlet manifold, they will know that the claims the hydrogen remove some all of these deposits is laughable Laughing
And that’s before we look at the issues of hydrogen embrittlement...

Both snake oil, and a waste of money

Thanks for the rey DM. I will plead guilty to using a bit of snake oil (or more accurately, millers ecomax diesel) not really because it does anything for my fuel economy (it doesn't in my experience) but more because it does appear to me to run slightly better with than without, like a premium diesel fuel or as best can describe, in my petrol days like using higher octane super unleaded.

I gather it claims cleansing properties. Can't comment but never had any smoke or emission problems or injector issues etc. So who knows.

I could of course be wasting my cash but there you go.

Certainly no point in a terraclean then.

As to carbon clean I am slightly terrified by whatever hydrogen embrittlement means. Is that interfering with the potential metal construction of the engine or something similar ? Sounds scary anyway.

Thanks for the info.
