L320 standard to dual screen change

Hi Folks

Is it possible to change the standard screen to dual view screen? I've got the GAP iiDTool so can change settings, I'm just hoping the screen is a straight swap and I know the dual view button face would be best fitted aswell.

If it's possible does anyone know the part number of the dual screen, I see several screens on sales sites but I've no idea if they are standard or dual, one on just now is part number AH22-10E887-DC

Thanks

Hi Dennis,

I have dual screen and the back of mine looks like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-SPO...SwkNpaX4hj I'm opening mine back up tomorrow for a project I'm working on so will get the exact model number then, unless someone else chips in first.

Thanks folks

Gerd1986, that would be great to get the exact part number, pics would probably by handy too if possible?

geoffsnook, I'm guessing that would likely be a show stopper then? Without understanding how it works, I'd imagined the picture signal would have been halved, shared to each side - as said, I don't actually understand it though.

I take it this isn't a common upgrade then, I only want it as I've both dvd and tv but cannot use it, therefore a complete waste of time, even when parked it only is on about 10 minutes before it switches off!

After a bit of digging around the web, I've found this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Range-Rover-Evo...1795315235

I'd not thought of the drop in picture quality with dual view, and the adaptor would likely be a cheaper option anyway if it works. I'm not bothered about the dual view, I just wanted dvd's to play for the bairns while driving. Has anybody got one of these adaptors? 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

Have you got rear screens? The VIM modules are ok but the kids in the back will struggle to watch the front screen for any length of time. I’ve got Rosen after market screens in mine and I’m going to fit the Tv out module so that they can watch the Tv or DVD from the head unit as well as their own screens.

There was a member on this forum who retro fitted the dual view but I think he gave up when only 1/2 the screen worked. 2012 5.0 SC AB

I have both dual view and factory fitted rear entertainment system and have never noticed a drop in picture quality, but to be fair I rarely sit in the passengers side or rear of the car. For the kids would a better option not be just something like a couple of ipads and holders as they would be transportable as well, only a suggestion.

Thanks folks

My bairns do use tablets in the back, I just thought if it was an easy swap then I'd like it for those shorter trips where they've left tablets at home, mostly to occupy in the car when the wife is shopping etc. As it's likely more than a straight screen swap then I'll probably not bother.

Gerd1986, thanks for the pics, if I don't go ahead then at least they'll be here for if anyone searches planning to do this in future. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

Dennis, I don't mean to sound condescending in anyway if it comes across like that, but not quite sure how dual view screen would help as all it does is allow the front seat passenger to watch tv or video while the vehicle is in motion, the driver just sees sat nav or home screen, you don't get a dual view of the same screen shot, or at least I don't think you do when stationary but will have to check.

Col, I wasn't actually bothered about the dual view as such although if there then there is options for a longer drive when I would be using sat nav. The screen I have would be perfect 99% of the time if it didn't go black when driving.

If it was a simple swap screen and change settings then I'd maybe do it, but I'll not likely bother since it's not a certainty to work.

Cheers for everyone's input though.

With you now, never thought of it from that aspect but see what you're saying, unfortunately that's the law I guess.
