Remap wanted

Morning all,

I’m after recommendations for a remap of my 2010 3.0 tdv6, want to get rid of the lag between acceleration and moving as playing chicken on round-a-bouts is getting silly lol. Also looking at increasing fuel economy as I have covered 30k in the last year, I’m thinking it would have paid for it self already..

Thanks in advance

Alive or BAS. Both specialists. Lots of posts on this site if you search.

Had my SDV6 tuned by Alive from 256 bhp stock to 306 (torque rises as well) for the same reasons you give and it is a massive improvement in terms of driveability. Sorted roundabout roullette out as well, though the best trick for that will always be manual shift to D1.

You will get some modest mpg improvement driven carefully. Can't say I do but then I enjoy driving it too much. Besides, if mpg is an issue then an RRS ain't the answer. Slightly more seriously got near mid 30's mpg on a long stretch of average speed camera'd A9. But not much into the early 20's giving it a proper bootful.

You won't regret an Alive tune nor from what I gather a BAS one either. Best go with one of these specialists and not a generic tuner or tuning box.

Hi FJ,

I’m not too worried about MPG but as I have clocked up the mileage running up and down the motorway to the west coast of Scotland I will be able to reap the benefits..

Do you know if they can be done remotely with a GAP IIDtool or are they done on a rolling road?

I regularly do west mids to edinburgh and glasgow. Alive tuned. Great on mway and also on the A roads like the A702 from M74 to edinburgh. Immemse overtaking ability. Plenty Smile
