I have purchased some on Flee Bay . Fitting instructions seem to be missing. Quality looks very good and the brackets are forged Al so this seems good. From reading it seems some cutting of plastic covers is required. Have any members fitted these ? Would like some ideas before attempting. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Yes you have to cut the plastics,I fitted aftermarket ones.You can either mark where the bracket goes & take the off to cut or do as I did & put the steps up to the plastics & it gives you a good idea where to cut & cut the plastic in situ but watch you don’t cut through the fuel pipes behind the plastics.

Thanks for that I think I will cut out in place as well. The rear seems to fall in line with the jack mount , perhaps I am wrong need another look. What did you use to cut ? A Dremel should be fine,,i used a old hacksaw blade.

Guys my boards are on and I am well pleased with the quality and fit. I did things slightly different and will describe as this may help others.

I left all the under guard material in place. Marked out where I would need to cut holding the brackets up and using a white marker. Cuts were made using a dremel , easy to break the small discs I found running the dremel at a slower speed worked better for disc life. There is plenty of clearance when using the dremel so I wasn't close to any wiring or lines. First side took the longest , learning curve, but the second was about 45 mins. I elected not to use the steel spacers, thought adding steel to an alloy body just made corrosion something for the future. Used some lock tight on the small screws holding the boards to the mounts.

These look so OME one might consider them a direct copy. The new jack mounts are also better than the OME ones IMO. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Glad you got them sorted,I also took the steel plate off mine by drilling the rivets out & had them painted black to match the car.
