Subwoofer

I'm a little confused. The head unit has a subwoofer adjustment which doesn't make any difference.

I took the grill off the dash and there doesn't appear to be a sub.
Which models had them?

I think the woofer is in the tailgate mate. I could be wrong though- it's happened before!

You are correct it is in the rear tailgate.

Is there a grill in the rear for it ?

I guess I don't have it fitted there either

There's no grille.. it's behind the covered panel in the tailgate (crap place to put it IMO as mine vibrates like crazy at any reasonable volume making the sound outside of the motor sound like a 17 year old with a Censored / Corsa) Sad

I haven't looked at removing the panel yet (I want to dynamat it in hopes it'll stop the outer tailgate skin from resonating so much) but I think there's a few posts on here about it and the panel can be somewhat "fragile" to remove?

Not sure this helps overall, but maybe Smile

Cheers..

Ian

I removed my tailgate cover on my previous sport, it is easier than you think. Just make sure you have plenty of panel clips/pins.

Yeah I saw a video on youtube earlier in the week.

Hopefully the weather will be better at the weekend so I get to have a look.

2 screws by the grab handle and rest trim clips.

I removed the trim,

There is a sub there, and it was working very quietly on both channels.

Hardly worth having it fitted unlike the one in my (older) Jag.

I had the same issue of vibration and rattle but both are relatively easy to fix and I have put a post in tips and tricks to explain.
