Stuck on Land Rover logo after stereo upgrade

Successfully changed the head unit in my 1st gen RRS yesterday with a pioneer SPH-230DAB stereo using incartec kit with he steering and sat nav cables. All works fine except the sat nav panel which Ive connected to old head unit and it turns on but just stays on the land rover screen. Any ideas ?

Unplug the orange optical plug from the head unit. Power up the car/headunit. Do you see a red light out of the head unit?
If no, that is why the logo is stuck on the screen.

It maybe necessary to lock the car. Go away for 3 mins+, unlock car and then check for the red light.

The orange cable end should have 1 red light too

MOST issue. Double check connections and power/earth to the head unit Thumbs Up

If the H/U doesn't power up, if won't complete the MOST loop, so the infotainment shuts down

thanks for the quick reply guys, gonna whip out the stereo and double check connections. will report back hopefully with solution.

update 1: Got around this morning to checking and on first inspection there was no single fibre light, so turned off ignition for few minutes went back and saw 1 single fibre light, connected back up, get Land Rover logo but nothing else. This evening will open back up and check earth connection and report back.

update 2: had a quick look this evening and was wondering where on the old stereo I can attach an earth to and where inside the location I can connect to earth.

had a chance again this afternoon to have a look again, included some photos of the old unit location, which is sitting loose in the cavity below the stereo mount. Lat pic shows head unit fitted and logo still stuck on screen. No idea why they have uploaded sideways lol.

The head unit is the first piece of the fibre optic chain. Without that in place, nothing else in the entertainment system will work

You need to take the aftermarket unit out, and refit the factory unit

Check the optical connections are the right way round.

A red output should be connected to a dark cable.

As previously, check the headunit has a red light shining out of it. (if not check the power is going into it)
The old headunit needs the large connector plugged in.

Check the fibre has red on it when it plugged into the LR loom

What about the amplifier under the seat?
If this no longer has power, or the optical connection is disconnected, this will stop the optic loop completing.

Hey Andy, will check this evening that fibre cable is in the correct way, from what I remember it had a notch so it could only go in one way. The original head unit I checked previously and I did see the red light emitting from it.
When I took on the project of changing the stereo system I followed a couple of guides and bought an aftermarket amp for the woofer and tweeters and connected that up using the pink connection that came with the kit. Amp was the Pioneer GM-D1004.
