General Grabber ATs on L494

I have changed my 21 inch wheels for 20 inch ones and fitted General Grabber ATs which I had on my L320 and FFRR before that - I think are an excellent tyre - I've never got stuck and never had a puncture in all 3 cars .

Interestingly, I never had an issue with road noise on the old model RRS or FFRR but on my current one, it is much more noticeable. Perhaps it is due to not having a separate chassis? Any other experience like this?

Thinking about keeping my 21 inch wheels (newly refurbished by previous owner) with brand new Pirelli Scorpion Verde tyres for summer use but if anyone's keen on them pls message me.

Thanks

I have fairly worn Cooper tyres now and they are getting noticeable noisy. If the AT's are noisy now then you may hear a lot more as the tread wears down. I also run 20 inch 285/45 which in coopers is about the limit. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Thanks - interesting...and a little concerning.

I'm just surprised that the tyre noise is so much more noticeable than on my old-model Sport

I may just swap back to the 21s with the Pirelli Scorpions on - I'm told that they're actually surprisingly good off-road but I can't risk getting stuck - everyone LOVES seeing a Range Rover getting stuck!

Also, I mainly have the Grabbers to avoid punctures - I have the 7 seat model and therefore no spare...
