L494 Door Locking

Any suggestions appreciated, The door locks are reluctant to operate when touching the locking dimple on the door handles, more so when it is raining. They work fine on the remote. Sad Sad

Since you're in the UK, you should really disable the keyless entry - that's how they are stealing high-end cars these days. --

Although the threat can me mitigated with some sensible countermeasures. Faraday bag/pouch etc.

Apparently this fix, removes the additional key program attack at hand-car washes/garages etc, as well as the keyless fob signal-repeater attack.

BTW - don't pay a fortune for a so called "faraday bag" - a metal biscuit tin (or old Cadbury "Roses" tin before they went plastic) will do an equally good job. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Also there are some very small tins of boiled herbal sweets that come in a tin that is just a tiny bit bigger than the keyfob and will fit in you pockets more easily that a biscuit tin....... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I've tried with aluminium foil and just two layers around the key is enough, door wont open with the key next to the handle even.

L494 locking.

Hi, my question was not how to prevent it getting nicked, but the drivers door handle will not always lock when the dimple area of the door handle is touched/pressed. any suggestions would be appreciated. Shocked
