Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
Price of TDV8

Why can't Land Rover offer the TDV8 engine in a lower spec vehicle. The TDV8 engine is superior than the 6 cylinder SDV6 engine - Toyota offer a 4.5l V8 diesel in a vehicle half the price of the Range Rover - and it is a really nice engine. In Oz the base retail price of the RRS TDV8 (UKP74,500) is substantially less than the UK price (UKP 92,200) I don't get that and they don't sell that many TDV8's either.
Landrover are seriously stuffing up their place in the market pricing wise.

I was comparing website list prices not on-road drivaway prices. With our luxury car tax (AU$20,000 on the TDV8) there is not much point comparing driveaway prices.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I just played with the configurator and got a RRS SDV8 up to £100k. My old TDV8 would have been high £50k 10 years ago. The price of LRs has nearly doubled in 10 years. Utterly ridiculous. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

In 2005 my 1st RRS TDv6 SE cost £42k (exactly what the L322 FFRR TD6 SE I had before it cost in 2003) I cannot remember what my TDv8 cost in 2007 but it was around £50k, in 2015 my Sdv6 HSE Dynamic cost £69000 with only 22” wheels and privacy as the options and today replacing like for like is a gnats hair off £80000. I don’t see any spec improvement, things have become optional that were standard and IMHO quality has dropped a lot since the L320 was launched. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
