Will not start RRS 2.7 56 plate

Good evenig all

My mate has just been on the blower and his RRS 2.7 56 plate was cutting out until it would not start at alland had to get a tow home. We share a icarsoft v2 and its been a good little machine. But the only error coming up now is EGR C and will not clear.

Any clues?

Thanks

Iwan

PS he thinks there is blanking plates on the EGRs

Fuel sender location and access

Good evening All.

Just back from my mates and it looks like the fuel sender unit is either gone or there is no supply getting to it. All fuses and relays are ok. The biggest clue was when we listened to my RRS you can hear the pump but on his nothing.

Next step is to get too the sender unit to check supply and connections. Can it be accessed from the car or does the tank need to be removed?

Your help would be appriciated

Thanks

Good evening All.

Yes it was the fuel pump, after stripping the tank and getting to the pump unit and throwing a direct 12V feed we confirmed the worse. So a week later and 400 of our fine British pounds down the RRS is runing just to find out the central drive shaft baring is gone. More play than a set of nuts on a prize bull.....

Rolling with laughter
