Wading height

Hi, On paper our rrs2 wading height is at 85cm. I wonder when water at this level, wont the water get into the cabin through the door? Or the car actually has some waterproof mechanism?
Also i suppose the whole exhaust will be submerge inside the water. So what makes it able to have a wading height compared to other car?
Thanks

Germany

Rubber gaskets in double and a higher and better constructed air intake.
Exhaust is no problem, as long as the engine runs..., even after restart it blows the water off.

Most important is an air intake for the engine that is high and waterproof... 2012 RRS HSE SDV6, BOURNVILLE 12/12-10/14
